Best Coffee
Five local spots for a morning cortado, an afternoon pour over, or a pie-and-espresso stop across downtown, the beach, and the north end.
This is the spot for people who take their beans seriously. Relampago roasts fresh in St. Augustine, with coffees ranging from approachable blends to high-scoring auction coffees and unusual single-variety lots. The downtown shop on Spanish Street is the main location, and the roastery sits inside DOS Coffee & Wine on San Marco.

Set in an old auto parts shop on the north end, DOS does hand-crafted coffee by day and rotating wine and beer when you want something else, plus baked goods made in house. The coffee menu runs through espresso drinks, pour over, nitro cold brew, chai, hot chocolate, kombucha, Italian sodas, and loose leaf teas.

An Aussie-American espresso bar and pie shop built around coffee, baked goods, family, community, and service. The St. Augustine-area footprint includes Downtown, Beachside, US-1/312, Dondanville, a compound on SR 207, and outposts, so it works as both a planned stop and a nearby fallback.

A counter-service Uptown cafe that goes beyond coffee and tea, with fresh-baked goods plus grab-and-go soups, salads, and sandwiches. The food side makes it an easy stop when a coffee break turns into lunch.

Locally owned and sitting right across from the Castillo de San Marcos, City Perks covers lattes, cortados, cappuccinos, nitro cold brew, Americanos, signature drinks, seasonal coffees, and teas. It also has draft beers, Florida wines, pastries, desserts, and indoor and outdoor seating.
